Who We Are
Rooted in Uganda’s Coffee Heritage
Founded in 2017, Meg Kari Farmers Foundation began as a small collective of 35 coffee growers in Kapchorwa. Today, we represent over 200 smallholder farmers across Uganda’s Eastern Region, united by our commitment to sustainable, high-quality Arabica coffee production.
Our name “Meg Kari” comes from the local dialect, meaning “blessed harvest” – a daily reminder of our connection to the land and the communities we serve.
We bridge traditional farming wisdom with modern sustainable practices, creating coffee that honors our heritage while building a brighter future for farming families.
Our Mission
To empower Ugandan coffee farmers through sustainable agriculture, fair compensation, and community development, while producing world-class specialty coffee that tells our story.
Our Vision
A future where every coffee farming family thrives economically, environmentally, and socially, preserving Uganda’s coffee heritage for generations to come.
Our Promise
Every bag of Meg Kari coffee directly supports farmer education, environmental conservation, and community health initiatives in our growing regions.
